Simultaneous Dual Function – Diagnosis and Therapeutics

OWL offers diagnostic high-definition digital video otoscopy with simultaneous dual-function capability for instruments enabling ear de-obstruction; aural microsuction and instrumentation through the patented OWL speculum – a uniquely engineered ear speculum. OWL allows users to perform diagnostic and therapeutic clinical work in one visit, with minimal interruption to workflow, improving service efficiency. Captured video and images can be uploaded into your electronic patient record system through our pending NOAH module.

HD Resolution Video with variable illumination

OWL provides HD resolution video enabling the capture of high quality images and video of pathology which will be able to be uploaded through our pending NOAH integrated custom module. Bright cold LED lighting provides perfect illumination of all ear structures with incredible clarity. Variable lighting allows you to select the appropriate illumination to ensure tissues are not oversaturated by light or too dark to see features. Our ear speculum open design allows natural airflow which prevents image fogging that affects other video otoscopes. OWL’s video capture and pre/post procedure photography is suitable for medical legal documentation.

Introducing Two Professional-Demanded Features – Variable Focus and Anti- Rotation

VARIABLE FOCUS – Focus directly onto the area of interest and keep the specula still in the ear. Variable Focus allows the user to focus on any distance from the tip of the speculum to 2cm in front. Focus is controlled by a conveniently located central dial for fine precision all with a single finger. Variable Focus is ideal for wax management – pinpoint focus for precision aiming with otological surgical instruments. Combined with its shallow depth of field, OWL provides a clear understanding of depth perception. ANTI-ROTATION - No matter how you hold the OWL, true clinical ear geography and position is always shown and maintained instantly.

Ultra-lightweight Design and Ultra-Compact Handheld Design

The OWL has been specifically designed to be ultra-lightweight. Its compact ergonomic design has been specifically engineered for the working day of hearing care professionals Weighing the same as a standard size chocolate bar (55g), and measuring 152mm x 35mm x 36mm, OWL is designed for the upper body and limb stillness that clinicians require for safe procedures, avoiding issues with current technology such as upper body, back and upper limb repetitive strain, discomfort and pain. Being the same size as a standard chocolate bar, the OWL is completely manageable in one hand. It is highly portable for home visits and compared to other equipment, OWL reduces the burden of transporting equipment to do hearing tests.
